Welcome to the Quality of Life Care (QLC) resource center. I hope you enjoy your experience here as you look through the information. My name is Deanna Cochran. I am a RN certified in Hospice and Palliative Care, working in the end of life field since 2000. More about me.
Audience. My main goal is to be a pipeline of information for the general public, non-medical professionals, health care professionals not in end-of-life care, and students in the various health related fields. To my peers in the palliative care arena, I encourage you to contribute your experience and insights here. I look forward to your comments.
Please pass the website address along to anyone who may benefit from the information presented here.
The layout of the site is my blog, articles by contributers, special topics, resource links and videos. One video will be something on palliative care and the other will be fun.
There is a place in the upper right hand corner of the site where you can subscribe to QLC for periodic newsletters and e-notes of interest. I don’t send out often, so you won’t be bombarded and of course you will be able to unsubscribe at any time. Your email will never be sold, exchanged, given away or used for any other purpose than to relay information to you from QLC.
Quality of Life Care’s first project is a retreat house for primary caregivers to go after the death of their loved one. This has been a dream of mine for a long time. I will create a membership site to make this happen one day.
I encourage you to be interactive with me and comment on what I present. My intent is to bring things here that you may not have thought of before, issues that are in the news and update you on things you already know. The topics may be controversial but my goal is to not incite anger or controversy, just a sharing of information. I won’t put up any comments that are mean-spirited or negative or for commercial reasons.
The QLC e-market (when it gets up) will hopefully be a very happening place. As well as books, I’m looking for interesting items that would benefit people at this time of life in some way, especially from regional artists.
